About radcomplete
radcomplete is a small collection of free radiology calculators written by a practicing radiologist in Winnipeg, Canada. It started in January 2025 as a way to stop re-deriving the same numbers at the workstation: liver iron from R2*, adrenal washout, prostate volume, gallbladder polyp follow-up.
Principles
- Show the formula. Every calculator states the equation it uses and where the thresholds come from, with links to the source papers.
- Be fast. One page, one form, no login, no ads. Results appear in place and, where useful, come as a sentence you can paste into a report.
- Be honest about limits. These tools are for education and convenience. They are not a substitute for reading the guideline or for clinical judgment.

Who uses it
Radiologists and residents in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia find the site through search, most often for the liver iron and prostate calculators. If it saves you a minute a day, it has done its job.
Privacy
No accounts, no cookies, no analytics scripts. The server keeps a standard access log (IP address, page, time) for a few weeks to watch for abuse. To see which calculators are used and where, the server also counts requests by page, country and region, referring site and device type; the IP address is looked up in a local DB-IP database on the server and is not stored with those counts. Values you enter are used only to compute the result and are not stored. A small script on each page reports back to this server, and only this server, how long the page was on screen, how far it was scrolled and which buttons were used, so the calculators can be improved; it sets no cookies and stores no identifier in your browser. The optional "was this useful" vote records the vote, the calculator and any comment you add, nothing else. There are no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this site, and there will not be.
